The graduate program in Psychology at the Federal University of Triangulo Mineiro (PPGP in portuguese) was created in 2015, in accordance with the directives of the Graduate Education in our country, specifically in the Psychology area.
The lines of research are planned to respond to contemporary challenges in science and in the psychological practice, serving both as an attractive factor to the program and also aiming to provide advances in the area.
Our mission is to contribute to the training of educators and researchers in Psychology, in line with the new perspectives of scientific knowledge production.
The general objective of the PPGP is to conduct studies, research and teaching in Psychology, as well as to train professionals qualified for this purpose. Among the specific objectives, we highlight the production of scientific knowledge in Psychology, the implementation of theoretical and methodological proposals consonant with contemporary problems of the Brazilian society and the training of educators and researchers in the concentration area of the major.

Type of Admission: The admission process happens once a year, always for admission in the second semester. Selection consists of four stages. The first is eliminatory and candidates perform a dissertation based on the recommended bibliography. The second, also eliminatory, consists in the analysis of the research project. The third, also eliminatory, is intended to inquiring the candidate about the research project. The last stage, just for qualifying purposes, is for analyzing the curriculum of the candidate.
